After several months of hard work and effort, we can finally proudly announce that the “Thai Football Development Handbook” is finished and ready to be published.
The Federation of Thailand (FAT) and Ekkono Soccer Services Barcelona entered into a common project during March 2017, with the overall aim of assisting the Federation in developing Thai football and assembling the fundamentals in order to promote the educational practice of football, helping in the global development of young players and facilitating its growth.
Therefore, the aim of the “Thai Football Development Handbook”, which will later be distributed among all football clubs and academies of the country, is to clearly structure the mission in terms of technical projects, technical development, and coaches’ curriculum.
The “Thai Football Development Handbook”, is divided into the next two parts:
The first part describes the FAT Thai Football Formula, structured in the different stages of player development, and including an in-depth analysis of the current situation in Thailand. This curriculum outlines the importance of developing a football culture within which all stakeholders (coaches, referees, players, parents, etc.) have a part to play.
The second part (FAT Coaching Convention), is directly linked to the first part. It exposes the competences, contents, and skills that the coach must learn to exercise as a coach at each of the levels (G, C, B, A and PRO) that have been described in the first part of the book.
This plan is only the beginning of a long way. All successful nations have developed their players over a number of years with a clear strategy behind what they are doing.
