FA Thailand earns “AFC Coaching Convention A level membership”, recognizing the efforts to boost Coach Education in the country

Since Carles Romagosa, co-author of the Ekkono Method, landed in Thailand in June 2019 as the Technical Director of the Thailand Football Association, there have been countless achievements that the Association has been achieving at all levels in terms of Organization. Therefore the great strategic goal of " the FA Thailand becoming recognizable as one of the leading member federations in Asia", is now a reality.

In fact, a month ago we announced the endorsement to the Federation with the "Silver level membership" under the AFC Grassroot Charter, as a sign of recognition of the enormous work that the FA has carried out for the development of grassroots football in the country.

Today it is time to announce the recent “AFC Coaching Convention A level membership” awarded to the FA Thailand by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

According to Patit Suphaphongs, FA Thailand General Secretary, “This is such a big accomplishment and truly a huge step for the FA of Thailand. We have been working tirelessly for a long time to achieve this goal, and it proves that the quality of FA Thailand coach educators and curriculum are equivalent to the AFC and international standards.  We will now be able to construct an A license course using Thai coach educators and curriculum, which will eventually produce a great number of quality coaches to help develop Thai football throughout the country.”

On his side, Carles Romagosa affirms that “the new curriculum has been implemented by FA Thailand over the past two years, and the current active approaches will encourage a learning-enhancing atmosphere leading to the enjoyment of football. This method represents a revolutionary change in the way coaches learn and understand football.”
